Babylonian Creation Myth

The concept of   the world being created by the body of a god arises again, this time in this Babylonian creation myth.

In the beginning there was only Apsu, the sweet water ocean, and Tiamat, the salt water ocean. Together they give birth a number of gods including Anu and Ea, who begets Marduk. Ea eventually kills the older god, Apsu. Tiamat vows her revenge on Ea by gathering a number of monsters such as the scorpion man
